The Perfect Couple is a beachside soiree to die for—literally. To promote the Netflix drama miniseries, we were tasked with creating a nontraditional billboard in Los Angeles that infused a touch of hyper-realism.
INSIGHT
To generate curiosity around the miniseries, our job was to tap into the allure of the Northeast Atlantic Coast and bring The Perfect Couple’s beachside murder scene to life in LA.
Execution
We turned a stretch of Venice Beach into a full-blown crime scene—The Perfect Couple–style. Think champagne glasses knocked askew, splatters of blood in the sand, Atlantic-style beach fencing, and uniformed Nantucket cops working alongside forensic investigators, all roped off with bold strips of police tape. At the center of the chaos: a towering, classic billboard for the show that demanded attention. To seal the deal, our brand ambassadors handed out red velvet cake and copies of the original novel—because nothing says murder mystery like dessert and a good beach read.
