To help rally The Snyder Cult worldwide for his new Rebel Moon franchise, Extra Credit as tapped to redefine what it means to bring fans into an immersive experience.
INSIGHT
Fandom knows no boundaries, and people will go to great lengths to celebrate their favorite movies, especially The Snyder Cult. By creating The Rebel Moon Interactive Fan Trailer Experience, we removed the final barrier between fans and the content that brings them all together.
Execution
By leveraging virtual production technology, we brought Hollywood filmmaking to fans worldwide. At the core of the experience we developed virtual and post production work streams across multiple countries, creating an other-worldly stage for fans to create their own custom Rebel Moon trailer.
While each region had a unique build, we had to source and transport gear globally, ensuring that all tech specs (lenses, LED resolution, camera moves) were consistent across each country and that the end products were in sync.
For distribution and data management, we designed and built a custom app that managed all work-streams against foot traffic, allowing fans to receive their trailers via email or SMS moments after they left the stage.
